ITFA PHYSICAL EVENT – NERC SUMMER EVENT

The ITFA Board is extremely excited to let you know about its very first in person event of 2021. We are back for our first live event of the year – the ITFA NERC Summer Party. The event will take place on Thursday 12 August at the Doubletree by Hilton London, Tower of London.

Please take note of the educational seminar and networking drinks details below. Signage at the hotel will be available on the day.

The Wildside bar will open at 06:00 pm sharp. Those attending the networking drinks only are to kindly time their arrival accordingly.

The Seminar is all about Liquidity Management: How is Trade Finance Helping? The management of liquidity remains a significant challenge for many companies; recent trends in the solutions companies adopt have seen a shift away from the traditional practice of relying on medium-term revolving credit facilities, towards more targeted, shorter-term liquidity solutions. What part is trade finance playing in addressing the modern needs of corporate customers? Are banks effective in providing solutions for SMEs as well as large multinationals?

We will have 3 topical panel discussions:

• Payables and receivables financing – how effective have these products been in helping companies with their liquidity? What impact has recent negative publicity surrounding payables financing had on how these products are perceived?

• Credit support/risk distribution – to what extent is the insurance market supporting liquidity needs? Are banks and financiers able to take advantage of the additional capacity insurance provides? What liquidity solutions are governments providing?

Kindly note that upon arrival ITFA will be providing name tags for those who registered for the educational seminar. Those attending the networking drinks only are to pick up their name tag at the desk at Wildside rooftop bar. The name tags are to be worn at all times. May we kindly point out that only registered attendees who have received a confirmation from ITFA will be allowed on the premises and the policy is stricter given the current situation. 

We would like to bring to your kind attention that as per the UK Government’s new Covid protocols and guidelines, social distancing is no longer in force. Masks can be worn but are not compulsory during the seminar. However, masks are required to be worn in the common areas of the hotel, therefore please ensure to bring your masks with you. Hand sanitizers and cleaning wipes will be provided throughout the event.
