Last call for registrations for ITFA Americas Regional Chapter’s in-person holiday event in New York City!  In honor of Pearl Harbor Day, we are teaming up with the US Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots Program to collect toys for less fortunate children in New York City.  If you would like to participate, please bring a new, unwrapped toy to the event.

A panel of insurance experts will address current issues and trends in the credit insurance market. The panel will share the perspectives of policyholders, brokers and insurers in the current environment. The panel will address the following topics:

• Recently, a few multi-line insurers have exited the trade credit insurance market.  What does it mean for available capacity, and does it create opportunities? 
• Claims is the “moment of truth” for all parties and COVID-19 created an environment ripe for defaults as well as insolvencies.  What is claims experience resulting from COVID-19 and what was value of the product for policyholders such as financial institutions? 
• Following Greensill, has the approach to supply chain finance changed, particularly for non-bank policyholders and, if so how? 
• Cyber risk is an area of concern for credit insurers.  How is cyber risk being handled by financial institution policyholders?  What are the key drivers for financial institutions using credit insurance and is there expected demand?  If so, for what types of transactions? 
• The Nuclear Exclusion in credit insurance policies has been a point of much back and forth between insurers and banks.  What does this exclusion say and in what scenarios can it apply?
