In collaboration with Sullivan & Worcester, ITFA is pleased to invite you to yet another Trade Finance Breakfast Seminar entitled “Sullivan & Worcester’s Article 194 opinion on the BAFT Master Participation agreement”. This seminar is going to be held on Thursday 28th May, at Pinners Hall, London, UK. Registration and breakfast are at 8:15 am followed by a presentation from 8:45 till 10:00 am.
ITFA and BAFT have launched S&W’s legal opinion in respect of the BAFT English law MPA and the requirements for credit risk mitigation under the Capital Requirements Regulation. In particular this opinion addresses the new “Article 194” requirement for banks to obtain legal opinions on enforceability of credit protection arrangements. Geoff Wynne and Hannah Fearn of S&W, together with Sean Edwards of ITFA, will explain the background to the opinion, its content and what the opinion aims to achieve.
ITFA members interested in attending this seminar are kindly requested to register by clicking here. This seminar qualifies for 1 CPD point. If required, please email Ojen Sirin after the seminar for your CPD certificate.
