ITFIE Unveils Key publications of its workstreams

The ITFA Trade Finance Investment Ecosystem (ITFIE) has been furthering our efforts on bring institutional investor voice into the trade finance ecosystem and developing trade as an asset class.

ITFIE had published its first output – ‘Whitepaper on developing a Practitioners Guide to making Trade an Investible Asset Class’, last year and has since held several consultations including an investor survey and several investor events (notably 2 editions of their flagship – Trade & Investment Forum).  

Co-chaired by N L N Swaroop of HSBC & Bertrand De Cominges of Santander Asset Management, ITFIE has organised itself into following key workstreams and has been working with some of the industry leaders in this space. 

Stream A- Voice of the Institutional Investors, led by  Suresh Hegde of Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Guy Brooks of Pemberton Asset Management

Stream B- Rules of the Game, led by Geoff Wynne of Sullivan & Worcester UK Ltd and Paul Coles of Orbian

Stream C– Technology and Data, led by André Casterman of Casterman Advisory and Matt Wreford of Demica 

ITFIE is pleased to now release the first outputs of these work streams and looks forward to using these as building blocks of furthering ITFIE’s engagement with the industry.
