ITFA ARC Educational Workshop at GTR East Africa

ITFA’s Africa Regional Committee (ARC) is hosting a breakfast briefing in Nairobi on May 21st 2024 to coincide with GTR East Africa 2024, where several ITFA and ARC members will be appearing. This briefing is aimed at African financial professionals involved in financing or underwiring trade in the region, and is designed to be interactive, with opportunities to ask questions and share insights.

Venue: Mövenpick Hotel & Residences, Nairobi, Kenya

Agenda:

The briefing will be an informal and interactive discussion, chaired by George Wilson (ARC Chair), with contributions from fellow ARC members Duarte PedreiraSimon Cook and Anne-Marie Woolley.

Drawing on their extensive expertise in African trade finance, they will review the state of trade finance at a continental and regional level, explore the drivers of Africa’s persistent trade finance gap and discuss ITFA’s ambitious plans to address this challenge through Project Eureka. They will also discuss the ARC’s outreach to African banks and FIs to get involved in its work.

The briefing will conclude with an audience Q&A where participants can share their views and local insights. The briefing will finish 10 minutes before the start of GTR East Africa in the same venue, enabling conference delegates to attend both events.
