As part of ITFA’s outreach to African financial institutions, the Africa Regional Committee is hosting a series of webinars aimed at financial professionals working in Africa. These webinars explore topical issues in trade, as well as the basics of trade finance, with insights and learnings drawn from ITFA’s network of experts.
The second two webinars in this series will take place on Wednesday May 10th, as follows:
10:00-11:00 West Africa Time: Webinar 3, ‘What makes a good deal?’:
In this webinar, hosted by Tedd George (Kleos Advisory), seasoned experts of trade finance, including Laurent Hepner (Miller Insurance) and ARC members Duarte Pedreira (Crown Agents) and Louis du Plessis (Rand Merchant Bank), will share their wisdom on what makes a good trade finance deal. The webinar will include a point-to-point analysis of how to originate a deal, case studies of trade finance deals and an online Q&A.
12:00-13:00 West Africa Time: Webinar 4, ‘Introduction to trade finance instruments: an expert guide’:
In this webinar, hosted by Tedd George (Kleos Advisory), Sam Fowler-Holmes (Sullivan & Worcester) will share insights on the range of trade finance instruments available in the market, their uses, pros and cons, and recent innovations. This will be followed by an online Q&A.
