presentation: ‘How to manage credit & operational risk management in trade
finance’
In this session Anne-Marie Woolley, CEO of Africa Global Trade Finance
Ltd and ARC member, will review credit and operational risk management
end-to-end, exploring how weak links between the front, middle and back office,
as well as with Treasury, can block approval of credits and deployment of
capital, even when African FIs have liquidity. This session will discuss
approaches to address these challenges, including the need for ‘Six Eyes’ and
better coordination between the different parts ot the financing & approval
chain.
This session will include a short Q&A at the end.

panel discussion
In this concluding session, Anne-Marie will discuss the issues and solutions
raised in her presentation with an expert panel representing the front, middle
and back office. Speakers will be confirmed shortly.
