ITFA was very happy to have participated in the Future of Security 2025 Conference held at Kings College, London on 24th July organised by Rebecca Harding and the Centre for Economic Security at which our chairman, Sean Edwards, spoke on the use of supply chain finance in defence procurement.
The conference was also the perfect moment to launch our latest whitepaper on managing compliance issues in defence and military goods financing produced by the members of our Financial Crime Compliance Initiative: special thanks to Andre Casterman, Ben Arber and Graham Baldock LINK HERE. Compliance is not the problem it’s often cracked up to be in this context, but it does need to be handled differently from non-military financing.
The paper sets out solutions and the opportunities available to market participants.
We have been informed that this paper has already been sent to the UK Government for further consideration by the Chancellor of the Exchequer.
