ITFA AGM 2025 Report

We are delighted to report that our recent online AGM, held on 24th June 2025, was a great success, with many of you in attendance and participating in the electronic voting process. The Board extends its gratitude to all members for their continued engagement and support.

In addition to approving the minutes of the previous AGM, members approved the 2024 accounts and auditors’ reports, and discharged the Board. We are pleased to confirm the re-appointment of Re-Vision Treuhand GmbH as our independent auditors for 2025.

The Board election resulted in the successful re-election of Sean Edwards as ITFA Chairman, ensuring stability and continued leadership for our association.

During the AGM, our Treasurer, Silja Calac, presented a comprehensive overview of the 2024 accounts. She highlighted a healthy profit for the year, driven by increased membership income and the success of the Cyprus Conference, supported by a strong group of sponsors. Sponsorship income remained strong in 2024, enabling ITFA to deliver numerous impactful projects and events. We thank all our sponsors for their continued support, which has been vital in enhancing the member experience and expanding our advocacy efforts.

Members were also updated on ITFA’s activities to date, with approximately 40 events already held in 2025, including the successful Americas Conference in Miami and a range of in-person gatherings and webinars. We also encouraged all members to register for the ITFA Week in London, which featured six events across three days, and to save the date for our Annual Conference in Singapore this September.

Additionally, members heard an update on ITFA’s initiatives to close the trade finance gap through the TF COP platform, which fosters collaboration between multilateral development banks, the private sector, and trade bodies. This initiative underlines ITFA’s commitment to advocating for improved access to trade finance globally.
