International Metal Platform (IMP) joins the DNI Initiative

Facilitating faster trade and extending liquidity seamlessly to corporates is a major industry ambition and it is becoming a reality thanks to our fintech members.

We are delighted to welcome IMP to the DNI Initiative with a focus on digital warehouse receipts.

International Metal Platform AG (“IMP”) is a b2b trading platform with exchange characteristics for non-exchange traded metals, bringing for the first-time accurate regional price discovery for physically delivered metal. IMP brings price transparency of industrial and critical raw materials, and facilitates a more secure and sustainable future for these materials.

Udo Klein, Founder and CEO of IMP explains the recent membership decision: “IMP has pioneered the Digital Warehouse Receipt (“DWR”), an authenticated electronic instrument that conveys to the holder exclusive control over the underlying physical commodity, which is stored in one of IMP’s network of Approved Warehouses. The IMP Digital Warehouse Receipt Management & Trading Platform helps clients mitigate inventory price risk, facilitate financing, and monitor ESG goals.”

IMP is designed to be interoperable with other digital trade platforms and brings modern necessities to commodity lenders and financiers. IMP addresses key issues so that lenders can increase loan to value ratios for these commodities, accurately value their collateral, liquidate positions if required, and be fully digitally integrated with industry participants including banks, corporates, and warehouses.
