Since we published our guidance on digital signatures last week here, we have received a number of queries asking if the BAFT-ITFA Master Participation Agreement can be signed in this way. The short answer is yes. Both the master itself and the form of offer and acceptance for individual transactions can, in principle, be signed in any of the ways described in the guidance. It is, of course, always important to ensure that the authority of the digital signatory is known to you.
