Petra Bockmayer-Burghardt
Since April 2023, Petra is the Global Product Development Leader for Receivables and Supply Chain Finance at Marsh. In this role, Petra is responsible for driving innovation in response to the evolving regulatory landscape, particularly in relation to the utilization of Trade Credit Insurance by banks as a risk mitigation tool. Additionally, she personally oversees key bank relationships. Petra joined Marsh in October 2011, initially holding the position of Senior Account Manager in Marsh’s Global Clients Group for Trade Credit Insurance. During this time, she managed accounts for multinational corporations before transitioning to specialize in Trade Credit Insurance solutions for global Financial Institutions.
Petra began her career in insurance in the 1980’s as a trainee at Allianz group in Hamburg. She then gained valuable experience at Munich Re before transitioning to a broker role with an international insurance broker in Los Angeles, which is now part of Marsh McLennan Companies. After 4 years, Petra returned to Germany and assumed the role of Account Manager at a leading reinsurance broker in Hamburg. She later relocated to Berlin, where she took on the position of Client Executive. Eventually, Petra returned to Hamburg with the same broking house, this time as a Senior Account Manager specializing in international Trade Credit Insurance.
