Continental European with Master Degree from Economical University in Bratislava, who after enjoying his postgraduate years in Kenya and Botswana, settled in Cosmopolitan London at the beginning of the new millennium.

Martin has over 15 years of banking experience in various financial institutions coming from three different continents. After getting his first Trade Finance wisdom in First National Bank in Gaborone, he worked as a trader in TF subsidiary of Intesa SanPaolo and Business development manager in First Bank of Nigeria.

His latest enrolment is with Bank of China London Branch, where he set up the bank’s secondary market desk covering origination and distribution of TF and LMA loan assets. He introduced and concluded business with more than 100 new counterparties and originated over 1000 loan syndications or trade related participations for either bank’s investment portfolio or further distribution back to the financial market. He structured bilateral trade related lending to banks in Brazil, Chile, India, Qatar, Russia, Turkey, South Africa and EU. He also arranged external funding from global banks to finance growing loan portfolio and dealt with underwriters in order to use an insurance cover for a risk mitigation and capital relief.

Martin has been involved with ITFA activities since 2014 as active member of NERC committee and event organiser of Bank of China Chinese New Year reception or Summer Networking & Cocktail Event.
