Maria Mogilnaya
Dr. Maria Mogilnaya is a seasoned trade finance advisor with a specific focus on digital trade, trade innovation, and sustainable trade and supply chain finance. Her work primarily involves facilitating trade in emerging economies and championing the adoption of digital solutions in trade and supply chain finance.
Since January 2024, Dr. Mogilnaya has been working as a consultant on various projects, centred around advancing trade transformation, leveraging her expertise in the field. Additionally, she actively contributes to the organisation of conferences in CEE and other regions.
Dr. Mogilnaya holds a PhD in Banking Law and Regulation from De Montfort University and a Diploma in Jurisprudence from Saint-Petersburg State University. During her tenure at the EBRD from 2011 to 2022, she managed the award-winning Green Trade Facilitation Programme and oversaw trade finance business delivery across regions such as Armenia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, and the Western Balkans. From 2022 to 2023, she led the regional expansion and sustainability-linked product development at SupplierPlus, an Estonian fintech specialising in supply chain finance.
