Lina Iyok is a trade finance expert focusing on receivables finance across Africa. In her role at Afreximbank, Lina manages the factoring portfolio and drives the strategic planning process and the
implementation of the Forfaiting Unit to promote export development and industrialization in Africa.

Lina has over 20 years of experience in Finance and Economic Development, focusing on private sector development through promoting trade finance, SME growth and access to finance.
Before joining Afreximbank, Lina held several positions within the Wholesale Banking Division at Standard Chartered Bank in Cameroon and Nigeria, where worked with the Credit and Fixed Income Sales teams. She holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, where she was an Edward S. Mason fellow, a bachelor’s degree in business economics from the University of Leicester, UK, and a masters in international business from the University of London (Birkbeck College).
