James Wilson
James is the Head Political Risks, International, for The Hartford. James and his team work within the global Political Risks team headquartered out of Washington, USA, led by Jared Kotler. The Hartford Political Risks team focus on single situation payment, political risk and political violence policies across their five offices for financial institutions, export credit agencies and corporates.
Prior to joining The Hartford in 2019, James worked at Chubb, a leader in Political Risk and Excess of Loss Trade Credit, leaving as a Senior Underwriter. James is a member of the Lloyd’s Market Association, International Underwriting Association and frequent representative for The Hartford at the Berne Union
James holds a BA in Politics, Philosophy & Economics from the University of York.
