Head of GT&P FI Sales Italy and Global Head of RPO, UniCredit S.p.A.

Giovanni joined UniCredit in January 2003. He is currently Head of GT&P FI Sales Italy and Global Head of Risk and Portfolio Optimization for the transactional banking products within the Group Client Solutions division of UniCredit.

He started his career in Market Risk Management field moving to Finance in 2007 where he contributed to the start-up of the team responsible for structuring and execution of credit related transactions both for hedging and investment purposes.

In January 2012 Giovanni moved to Austria as responsible for Credit Treasury unit in Bank Austria AG where he focused on transactions on performing and non-performing assets originated in Austria and in CEE countries as well as on loans credit pricing. He moved back to UniCredit headquarter in Milan in September 2015 as Head of Group Balance Sheet Management within the CFO division where, in addition to Credit Portfolio Management topics, he looked after FX hedging strategies and general optimization solutions for the group balance sheet.

Since April 2020 he is Global Head of Risk and Portfolio Optimization for GTB products and starting from January 2022 he also looks after the GT&P FI Sales team in Italy.

He graduated with full marks from Bocconi University in Milan with a degree course in Finance.
