On behalf of the ITFA Board, we thank all those who attended our 42nd Trade and Forfaiting Conference held in Dubai at the end of September. The conference attracted record numbers as well as sponsorship, demonstrating yet again, the vitality of our association and industry.
For those of you who were not present at the Annual Conference, the ITFA has voted in a new chairman – Sean Edwards, Head of Legal at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Europe, who was previously deputy chair. He takes over the position from Paolo Provera, who chaired ITFA for six years since 2009 and has been granted the title of Honorary Chairman. Daniel Schär, our Treasurer, also retired from his post.
ITFA elected three new Board Members at its AGM in Dubai; Chris Hall from Lloyds Bank, Zeyno de Vries-Davutoglu from Credit Europe Bank and Anurag Chaudhary from Citi.
