We are pleased to announce Mr. Sanjay Raja as the speaker of the session being held on Wednesday 6th October at 3:15pm titled: ”How bright the dawn: charting 2021 and beyond.”

Sanjay’s talk will highlight recent economic trends globally and macro issues emerging from the pandemic. Indeed, with the world economic backdrop extremely complex, central banks face their toughest challenge yet: combatting higher near-term inflation while recovering from one of the deepest recessions in history. As part of the talk, there will be a little more focus on the UK economy, the path out of the coronavirus crisis and insights on how Brexit has impacted the UK’s recovery. While uncertainty around the future is elevated, one thing is clear: the global economy won’t return to how it was prior to Covid-19.

Sanjay Raja is the UK Economist in the European Economics team at Deutsche Bank. His work is predominantly focused on macro forecasting, inflation, fiscal and monetary policy. Before joining Deutsche Bank, he worked as an Economist at KPMG and before that spent some time in the public sector. He holds an MSc from the London School of Economics and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst. Sanjay is a Fellow of the RSA.

We look forward to welcoming Sanjay in Bristol!
