2023 was characterised by record-breaking temperatures and devastating floods, droughts and storms. However, the world is finally waking up to the climate emergency, with countries representing 92% of global GDP now committed to net zero targets. This roundtable discussion took place hot on the heels of the Cop28 UN Climate Change Conference in Dubai. Hosted at the GTR Mena event in February in collaboration with the International Trade & Forfaiting Association (ITFA), influential industry leaders discuss how the GCC region is adapting, and what is required to drive the tangible change needed.

ITFA AMERICAS: EDUCATION INITIATIVE EVENT – LUNCH AND LEARN, CALIFORNIA

On April 11th, 2024, ITFA Americas proudly hosted an educational event in California, generously sponsored by 1TCC. Despite its intimate size, around 25 attendees, the event drew a diverse crowd including insurers, brokers, banks, and companies such as Boeing, with some attendees even flying in from LA. Serving as our first-time seminar in California, it proved to be a resounding success, appreciated by all participants.

The seminar kicked off with a delightful luncheon and warm greetings, setting the stage for an enriching experience, followed by an overview of ITFA. Peter Hasenkamp captivated the audience with his presentation on Supply Chain in Automation, while Nasrin Nourizadeh provided a comprehensive review of Supply Chain and Risk Mitigation Tools.
