ITFA WEBINAR – The Changing Landscape of Trade Finance in India

The ITFA Board wishes to invite you to a webinar which is being organised by the ITFA Emerging Leaders Committee.  This online session, entitled The Changing Landscape of Trade Finance in India,  will be held on the 24th February 2023 @ 16:00 IST / 10:30 GMT.

The delivery of Trade Finance flows has undergone sea change in the last decade, primarily driven by regulatory changes and evolution of technology. The Reserve Bank of India and Government of India have undertaken multiple policy and regulatory changes like, Factoring Act of 2011, licensing Factoring companies, digitizing export and import flows through Export / Import Data Processing and Monitoring System (E/IDPMS), Insolvency and Bankruptcy code, enabling 3rd party payments, merchanting trade guidelines, payment rails UPI, GIFT City, CBDC etc. Banks, Corporate and Fintechs engaged closely to digitize the domestic and export flows to democratize the trade finance.

We are entering in an interesting phase as India catapults from $ 3 Tn to more than $ 7 Tn economy by end of this decade. Is Trade Finance community ready to support this tremendous growth going forward ? We will ask these questions and many more to industry leaders.
