ITFA – Introducing the Conference Speakers in Warsaw – Reiner Jahn

With only three weeks to go till the ITFA Annual Conference, all final preparations are in full swing. The ITFA Board is delighted to announce that Mr Reiner Jahn will be one of the speakers at this year’s Annual Conference in Warsaw.

Reiner is a financial services broker specialized in export financing and forfaiting as well as surety bonding and credit insurance. Born in 1961 in Krefeld, Germany he has been working in the banking industry since 1978.

1978 – 1995 Dresdner Bank, apprenticeship in banking, and then became an officer for larger corporate credits including work-outs. Since 1989 he has been a corporate account manager in international banking affairs, payments, documentary business, export finance, money market and foreign exchange trading, and deputy department head international activities.

1995 – 1997 Berliner Bank, Director corporate account management international, export finance, forfaiting, corporate credits, etc.

1997 – 2000 London Forfaiting Company Ltd, Director Marketing, export finance, forfaitings.

2000 – 2003 Anglo Irish Bank, Senior Representative, export finance, MM-dealings.

2003 – to date – runs his own business named RJF Finanzdienstleistungen – Reiner Jahn e.K, from his office in Germany.

Furthermore, Reiner holds a degree in Bachelor of Banking Services and Operations (CCI) 1984, and also forms part of the Chairman Examination Committee for Banking Bachelors at CCI Dusseldorf. He is also the Vice-President of the German-Iranian Chamber of Commerce Hamburg.

During his career, Reiner has achieved detailed knowledge and experience about handling and placing various export finance risks including those related to more challenging countries. Close contacts are maintained with an extensive number of counterparts and financial institutions around the world.

At the ITFA 43rd Annual Conference, whilst addressing all the attendees, Mr Reiner Jahn will be discussing ”The Road to Tehran: opportunities and obstacles to doing business in Iran.” During this session a comprehensive overview will be given on the remaining sanction regime and how to deal with it at its best. Furthermore the existing environment will be debated with particular view on the political situation in Iran, Europe and in the US. Currently available business transactions will be specified including requirements for financing and letters of credit opened so far.
