News from ITFA GRC – Annual fall workshop and ITFA GRC Christmas dinner
This year’s workshop for senior forfaiters took place in Frankfurt am Main on November 19, 2015. AKA Ausfuhrkredit-Gesellschaft mbH hosted the workshop in the afternoon, which was followed by an invitation from the ITFA Board, Zürich, to the Christmas dinner for all participants of the workshop. Both events were well attended. As in previous years the language of the workshop was German. Attendance was reserved for ITFA members only.
This year’s topics covered, amongst others:
| – the extension of the enforcement legal opinion for the BAFT MRPA for ITFA Members to non EU countries – is it still required?; |
| – availability of a BAFT agreement on “Receivables” and “Trade Loans”; |
| – addition of clauses on sanctions, arbitration; FATCA and negative interest rates in the BAFT MRPA; |
| – Dodd Frank Act/ Dodd Frank Volcker Rule and BAFT MRPA; |
| – forfaiter’s appetite lists; |
| – VAT and forfaiting; |
| – ITFA Mentoring program in the GRC; |
| – ITFA GRC calendar of events 2016: |
- May/June 2016 – ITFA GRC Stammtisch – Networking as well as a presentation of the ITFA Insurance Committee

- October/November 2016 – the ITFA GRC workshop for members only, in German and the Annual ITFA GRC Christmas Dinner sponsored by the ITFA, Zürich.

The lively discussions continued during the Christmas dinner, in the very relaxed atmosphere of the “Depot1899”, with good food, beer and wine.
